Rector's Order on measures related to the state of emergency

 

Rector's Order No. 8/2020. (4 May)

on measures regarding university attendance and other matters related to the state of emergency
[in line with the 168/2020. (IV. 30.) Government Decree]


1.     After the release of the 168/2020. Government Decree including the possibility of lifting the ban on students’ physical attendance at universities, educational activities requiring personal presence of students still cannot be carried out at our university as of 4 May 2020.

 

2.     After the release of the 168/2020. Government Decree including the possibility of lifting the ban on students’ physical attendance at universities, holding examinations requiring personal presence of students (except for final examinations) is still not possible at our university as of 4May 2020, therefore, the third indent of Section 4 of the Rector’s Order No. 6/2020. (24April) is repealed.

 

3.     After the release of the 168/2020. Government Decree including the possibility of lifting the ban on students’ physical attendance at universities, students carrying out studies and/or research that require personal presence at the university (e.g. performing laboratory measurements) may submit a request to the Dean of the Faculty who can approve it. Upon receipt of the Dean’s approval, students must wear a face mask and a minimum distance of 1.5 meters must be maintained between all those present.

 

4.     During the state of emergency, a new type of Rector"s leniency application will be introduced: Students may submit an emergency leniency application for solving academic problems directly related to the state of emergency. Application forms must be addressed to the Rector and submitted to the Central Student Office. Submitted applications will be considered by the Rector taking account of the Dean’s opinion. No fee is charged for leniency applications.
