Mr Kumar Tuhin, Ambassador of India, visited the University of Sopron on 12 March 2019 accompanied by Mr N. Venkataraman, Second Secretary, and Ms Tanuja Shankar, Director of the Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Centre.
Prof Dr András Náhlik, Rector of the University of Sopron, and Dr Tibor L. Alpár, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations, welcomed the delegation and presented the international relations of the university and the palette of degree programmes to the guests.
Mr Kumar Tuhin visited the Ligneum Visitors’ Centre and had the opportunity to take a closer look at the potentials of the Natural Resources Research Centre (NRRC). He met Charu Atulkumar Agarwal, our Stipendium Hungaricum student from India, and Champramary Simang, Researcher of the Functional Geonomics and Bioinformatics Researchers’ Group of the university.
Dr Miklós Bak, Vice-Dean of Simonyi Karoly Faculty of Engineering, Wood Sciences and Applied Arts, guided the guests in the company of Dr Zoltán Pásztory, Director of NRRC, Dr György Sipos, Leader of the Functional Geonomics and Bioinformatics Researchers’ Group, and Dr Martin Münsterkötter, leading bioinformatician.
