The representatives of the University of Sopron and the Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology held an online meeting on 9 December 2021. The two institutions are planning to create an English-language joint bachelor programme in the field of Environmental Engineering.

Representative of the Universidad Regional Amazónica Ikiam (Ecuador), Dr. Caroline Bacquet visited the University of Sopron on 29 November 2021. On behalf of the University of Sopron, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ferenc Lakatos and Director General of the Forest Research Institute Dr. Attila Borovics welcomed Ms. Bacquet.
The aim of the visit was to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions. The representatives of both universities held a short presentation on the most important facts and figures of the given institution. After the presentations, the participants discussed the possibility of deepening the collaboration for example with joint research projects in the field of forestry, sustainability, geoinformatics, etc., student/teacher/researcher exchange and so on. The participants also visited the Botanical Institute, and Dr. Zoltán Pásztory showed Dr. Caroline Bacquet around the Natural Resources Research Centre.
In November the Centre for International Affairs represtented the University of Sopron on two Virtual Education Fairs, in order to promote the internationalization of our intsitution. The fairs took place online, but present in South America and Central Asia – all together in 41 countries, 103 exhibitors with 4400 attendees.

Tempus Public Foundation (TPF) considers it important to provide Stipendium Hungaricum students with excellent academic achievement with the opportunity to show themselves on a national level, and to reward their performance and success with recognition. Therefore, TPF established the Stipendium Hungaricum Excellence Student Award with the purpose of identifying and awarding outstanding Stipendium Hungaricum students.
We are proud to announce that the Board of AQ Austria decided in its meeting on 24 November 2021 to accept the application for a notification decision with regard to the degree programme „International Joint Cross-Border PhD-Programme in International Economic Relations and Management“. The Board set the duration of validity of the notification for the period from 24.11.2021 to 24.11.2027.
