Visit at two Faculties

Created: 2022.04.21 09:11 Modified: 2022.04.21 09:11 Created by: Buzsáki Boróka Category: News

On the 19th of April, after the Easter Holiday, the Department of International Affairs paid a visit on the Faculty of Wood Sciences and Creative Industries. The meeting was a prosperous talk with the vice-dean, Dr. Zoltán Pásztory, and the Erasmus and Stipendium Hungaricum Coordinator, Veronika Tolvaj. From the International Office, Dr. habil. Zoltán Szabó, Barbara Lakatos and Boróka Buzsáki attended the conversation. They gathered topics that should be discussed and also made some decisions about further cooperation opportunities. From both parties’ point of view, it is also important to strengthen the international relations and put emphasis on the study programs offered in English. The effort and willingness shown from the Faculty is appreciated and it is making the cooperation smooth. In the future it will get more accent to work together even closer in some projects and strengthening the visibility of the University on an even broader scale.

Right after this prosperous meeting, on the 20th of April, the Department of International Affairs visited the Faculty of Forestry. Dr. Bálint Heil, dean, Dr. Gábor Kovács and Dr. Kornél Czimber vice-deans, and the Erasmus and Stipendium Hungaricum Coordinators Dr. Andrea Vágvölgyi, Dr. Andrea Vityi and Dr. Ferenc Facskó attended from the side of the Faculty.

The aim of the discussion was to deepen the relationship between the Faculty of Forestry and the Department of International Affairs and give a clear picture of the strategy from both parties. The conversation opened new prospects and opportunities, which can be further negotiated.

In the following semesters we will organise these kind of meetings with all the Faculties, beside the monthly International Newsletter. This type of communication makes the understanding easier and it helps to gain more trust and collaboration between departments.

We would like to thank for all five Faculties of the University of Sopron for the effort, the ideas and the cooperation throughout the spring semester and hope for the smooth future work as well.
