HOW TO GET HERE...

HOW TO GET HERE...

...FROM BUDAPEST

After arriving to the airport of Budapest the first thing youmust do is to change about 50 Euros into Forint (Hungarian currency). Now you have about 20,000 Forint with you. Usually, the exchange rate at airports is a bit higher than in the city. However, bank card is also accepted almost everywhere.

After that, you need to go to the main train station – called Keleti Pályaudvar – where you can take a direct train to Sopron. At the airport you can choose from two transfer options: either you can take a taxi at the airport or you can use public transport. The first one is obviously quicker but more expensive (should cost around 10,000 Forint, takes about 25 minutes), while the public transport, bus 100E - runs every 10 minutes at daytime, every 30-40 minutes at night - it is much cheaper (1,500 Forint) + Merto M2 (Astoria) or M4 (Kálvin tér) (400 Forint). If you decide to take a bus & subway in Budapest, you can search for routes and connections on this page:
