Great Success at the First Language Café
A truly special atmosphere marked the debut of the Language Café, organized for university students by the team of the International Office. The goal of this informal, one-hour afternoon session was to build intercultural bridges, develop language skills, and strengthen the international student community.
From Baku to Ganja and Back: New Partners and Prospective Students in Azerbaijan
In the second week of October, a delegation from the University of Sopron visited Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, and its second-largest city, Ganja. The visit focused on discussions regarding agriculture, forestry, remote sensing, smart forests, and current developments in the wood industry and economics. The team also engaged with prospective students at the "Study in Europe" fair. The trip has already yielded tangible results, paving the way for student and faculty exchanges and the initiation of joint academic programs and research projects.

Memorial Hike in the Footsteps of Sopron University Students of 1956
Personal memories, historical sites, and a touching poetry recitation made the first event of the University of Sopron’s series of programs, organized for the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight, truly memorable. On the memorial hike on October 17, nearly sixty people set out—including Canada's Ambassador to Hungary, H. E. Judith Gelbman—to recall the fate-defining days of the Sopron students.
