International Students Visit Local Animal Shelter
On Wednesday, the 5th of August, international students from the University of Sopron visited the Nektek Ugatunk Animal Protection Association, spending a meaningful afternoon connecting with the local community and supporting regional animal welfare.

The University of Sopron’s conservation and sustainability initiative has reached the finals of the prestigious International Green Gown Awards 2026, competing in the Nature Positive category. The university has successfully submitted its final, second-round application materials to the international judging panel.
Vice-Dean of the University of Sopron Wins "Professional Role Model" Award
Based on student votes, Prof. Dr. Balázs Kósa, Vice-Dean for Education at the Institute of Creative Industries (Faculty of Wood Engineering and Creative Industries, University of Sopron), has won the prestigious Lecturer of the Year Award. In the voting organized by the National Union of Students in Hungary (HÖOK), he took first place in the "Professional Role Model" category for medium-sized institutions.
