Kishaija Noel, a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Forestry of the University of Sopron, has been appointed DOSZ Ambassador for Uganda for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The official inauguration of the new DOSZ Ambassadors took place during the Spring Wind Conference hosted by the University of Pécs between 19 and 21 June 2026. The DOSZ Ambassador Program aims to strengthen connections among international doctoral students in Hungary and encourage their active engagement in the country’s academic and research communities.

As DOSZ Ambassador for Uganda, Kishaija Noel will serve as a bridge between Ugandan doctoral candidates and the wider international research community in Hungary. In this role, he will facilitate communication and collaboration among students and promote participation in academic, scientific and social initiatives organised by DOSZ and its partner institutions. He also plans to mentor prospective students from Uganda who are considering pursuing doctoral studies in Hungary.

“I am deeply honoured by this opportunity to represent my fellow Ugandan PhD students,” said Kishaija Noel. “Throughout this academic year, I look forward to promoting academic networking, encouraging participation in scientific events and creating meaningful opportunities for cross-disciplinary and cross-institutional collaboration.”
