At the meeting, experts from participating countries are preparing for the Ministerial Conference to be held in Stockholm in early June, where the Stockholm Ministerial Declaration—defining the future directions of the continent's forest management—is expected to be adopted.

Regional Cooperation for the Future: University of Sopron and MENDELU in Partnership
On February 5, 2026, the senior leadership and academic delegation of the University of Sopron visited Mendel University in Brno (MENDELU). The meeting aimed to strengthen ties between the two institutions and define key areas for joint development, with a particular focus on forestry cooperation, digital education, and internationalization.
This visit to Brno marks a significant milestone in an ongoing successful collaboration: representatives from MENDELU previously visited Sopron in 2025 as part of the "Czech Autumn" program series.
