University of Sopron Strengthens Ties with Erasmus Student Network Hungary at National Assembly

The International Relations Office (IRO) of the University of Sopron (UoS) was recently honored with an invitation to attend the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Hungary National Assembly as a special guest. Accepting the invitation was a significant step for UoS, particularly as the University currently does not have an active ESN section.

1,538 new trees planted in the University of Sopron’s memorial forest

The University of Sopron and TAEG Educational Forestry Ltd. began a tree-planting program in 2021: each year, they plant as many saplings in the Forest of Loyalty as the number of new students. This autumn a record 1,538 first-year students enrolled — and 1,538 young trees were planted on November 11.

The approach of the Creative Industry Institute at the University of Sopron is now gaining recognition on the international stage. Prof. Dr. Balázs Kósa, Deputy Dean for Education at the Faculty of Wood Engineering and Creative Industries, represented the university in Mexico at the prestigious Creatividad Festival 4.0, together with his students – Dóra Igaz, Mózes Botond Szebeni-Szabó, and Zalán Szennyai. The trip was supported by the Pannónia Scholarship Program.

Weekend in Nature with SH Mentors

Over the weekend, a group of international students from the University of Sopron went hiking in the enchanting forests surrounding Sopron, now dressed in the magical colors of autumn. The refreshing trip, which nourished both body and mind, was led by SH mentors Alex Morris and Adriana Gazabon.
