The University of Sopron Strengthened Its Regional Cooperation in Lower Austria

At the invitation of Prof. Dr Hannes Raffaseder, CEO of the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, six staff members from the University of Sopron visited the Austrian institution on 24 November 2025. During the study visit, the Hungarian experts gained an in-depth overview of the operations of St. Pölten University, which plays a pioneering role in the development of European higher education, as well as the work of the EUDRES European University Alliance it leads. The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation and identifying directions for joint development.

Cultural Values in Education – Supporting International Students at the University of Sopron

The University of Sopron places great importance on supporting its international students and helping them navigate cultural differences as they adapt to a new environment. As part of this commitment, the StudentHelp team of the International Office organized a workshop on intercultural understanding.

Breakthrough in AI-Based Education: The University of Sopron Joins the International Elite

The University of Sopron (UoS) has provided further evidence that it can compete with the international leaders in applying Artificial Intelligence in education. The institution was represented by two of its staff members at a prestigious international AI-themed conference held in China, making it the only Hungarian university to receive an invitation to the high-profile November event.

Dr. Laura Sinóros-Szabó, Advisor and Project Expert, and Dr. Gergő Vida, Senior Research Fellow, represented the University of Sopron at the "Effective, Inclusive and Ethical Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED)" conference, which took place in Zhuhai from November 11–16, 2025.

The University of Sopron Showcases Educational Opportunities in South Korea

The University of Sopron (UoS), the „Green University” of Hungary with a strong focus on sustainability and research, was recently honored to participate in a virtual presentation of its international education programmes in South Korea. This initiative was part of a broader event at the Liszt Intézet Hungarian Cultural Center in Seoul, designed to promote Hungarian higher education opportunities to prospective South Korean students. The event was held in strategic collaboration with the South Korean education technology (EdTech) startup, UpSee.
