The University of Sopron and its partners – SMAFC, TAEG Zrt., Sopron Wanderers Hiking Association, Fertő-Hanság National Park and Sopron Transylvanian Circle – cordially invite everyone interested to the "Jó szerencsét!" (Good luck!) University Hiking Day, which will take place on Saturday, 5 April, 2025. This special event is not just about the love of nature and exercise, but also offers a unique opportunity for participants to jointly commemorate the rich mining past of Sopron, the events of World War II, and pay tribute to the Transylvanian students who died as martyrs and the memory of the Golden Train story. The center of the hiking day is Brennbergbánya, a small mining settlement near Sopron, one of the jewels of our country.
