1. How will I know if my application is incomplete?
There’s no need to guess! Once you submit your online form, the University of Sopron admission staff will review your file. We will contact you directly via email if any documents are missing or if we need further clarification to move your application forward.
2. Is there an age requirement for international students?
Yes. All applicants must be at least 18 years old by the start of the semester (September 1st for the Autumn intake or February 1st for the Spring intake).
3. What happens after I submit my documents?
Our team reviews every application thoroughly. The process generally follows these steps:

Document Review: We check for eligibility and completeness.

English Assessment: If your documents meet the requirements, you will be contacted regarding an English proficiency test.

Faculty Interview: Upon successful completion of the test, the respective faculty will schedule your admission interview.

Tip: No formal preparation is required, but we recommend reflecting on your future goals.
6. When will I receive a final decision?
We aim to notify students as soon as possible. At the latest, you will receive a final decision by the 15th of the month following your interview.
7. Can I apply if my documents are not in English or German?
Yes, but you must attach a certified translation in either English or German alongside the original copies. Please note that applications with non-certified translations cannot be processed and may cause delays.
8. Is the 150 USD application fee refundable?
No, the 150 USD application fee is non-refundable. Please ensure the payment is completed before the general application period ends to enable your application link.
8. When and how do I pay my tuition fees? the tuition fee?
Once the admission decision is finalized, you will receive an official notification containing our bank account details and the payment deadline. To secure your spot, you are required to pay the tuition fee for your first semester by the date indicated.
Pro-tip: We recommend applying for your dormitory placement at the same time. While accommodation is guaranteed for international students, completing this step early ensures a smoother transition and one less thing to manage before you arrive.
