On March 28, the University’s International Office organized a special English lesson for the 10B class of Széchenyi István Secondary School in Sopron.
Six international students from the University gave interactive presentations about their home countries – Colombia, Kazakhstan, The Gambia, Tanzania, and Saint Lucia. After the presentations, the high school students had the chance to join small group discussions, where they could explore cultural differences, personal views, and everyday habits more deeply.
At the end of the program, the international students were given a tour of the school building – an especially valuable experience for those planning a future in education.
We would like to thank Ms. Judit Dakhlaouiné Nagy, English teacher, and Ms. Tekla Tóthné Keszei, head of the language department at SZIG, for their enthusiastic support and active involvement in making the event possible.
This was the first event in a planned international program series, which the organizers aim to expand soon by involving more classes.
