The University of Sopron proudly participated in the EAIE 2025 Conference and Exhibition in Gothenburg, one of the most significant events in the field of international higher education. Organized annually, the EAIE conference provides a vital platform for universities, colleges, and industry professionals worldwide to share insights, foster collaborations, and explore new opportunities for internationalization. This year, the event attracted a record-breaking 7,300 participants from all over the globe, emphasizing its crucial role in shaping the future of higher education.
Representing the university were Mr. Márton Beke, Director for Education Development, and Ms. Katalin Krajczár-Sári, Leading International Coordinator. Together, they engaged actively at the "Study in Hungary" booth, in collaboration with the Tempus Public Foundation, to advance the university’s strategic internationalization goals. Their presence included participating in discussions with prospective partners, engaging in "fishbowl sessions," and exploring avenues for collaboration.

The main focus was to identify existing, emerging, and potential new partners for cooperation, with the goal of expanding international mobility programs, developing joint research projects, and increasing international student enrollment. Throughout the conference, negotiations took place with representatives from 17 countries, including Canada, the USA, Brazil, Morocco, Ghana, South Africa, South Korea, India, Italy, and Croatia.
The EAIE Conference continues to serve as an essential forum for universities worldwide to foster international partnerships, share innovative ideas, and accelerate their internationalization efforts—ensuring the global development of higher education.
