On June 4, 2025, the PROFFORMANCE+ project successfully concluded its online closing conference, gathering over 150 higher education professionals. The University participated as a PROFFORMANCE Institutional Ambassador, demonstrating its strong commitment to advancing the quality of higher education and fostering continuous development in teaching competencies. As an Institutional Ambassador, the University has pledged to enhance the standard of education and actively support faculty performance improvement. A key part of this commitment involved piloting the innovative digital teaching performance assessment tool developed by the Tempus Public Foundation within an international consortium framework.
Among the eight Hungarian PROFFORMANCE Institutional Ambassadors, the University of Sopron uniquely completed comprehensive testing of the assessment tool with the involvement of faculty and students from its four faculties. The pilot took place between March 13 and 18, 2025. Dr. Laura Sinóros-Szabó, advisor and grant expert representing the University of Sopron, presented the pilot results to an international audience of higher education experts. According to Dr. Laura Sinóros-Szabó, the assessment tool offers an opportunity for organizational-level evaluation of teaching activities. It promotes both self-reflection and peer feedback in supporting teaching and learning processes. Furthermore, it highlights the potential areas for ongoing enhancement of educational quality. She emphasized: “As a PROFFORMANCE Institutional Ambassador, we firmly believe in continuous improvement and are convinced that the interaction between teaching and learning always offers opportunities to achieve higher quality standards.
