International students from the University of Sopron recently visited Fáy András Bilingual Secondary School of Economics to lead engaging English-language sessions. The students shared personal insights into the culture, traditions and everyday life of their home countries, including Kazakhstan, Algeria, Tanzania and Gambia.
The event was organized by the University’s International Office, in collaboration with English teacher Anett Borosné Grubits from the host school. It gave students a valuable opportunity to practice English in real conversations, while also helping them gain a deeper understanding of different cultures.

The sessions were interactive and inspiring — secondary school students had the chance to ask questions, connect with peers from around the world, and see global diversity through a personal lens. At the same time, the international students developed their communication and presentation skills in a real-world setting.
The success of the program means it will continue in the autumn, with more classes taking part — helping promote openness, curiosity and intercultural understanding.
