The University of Sopron (UoS), the „Green University” of Hungary with a strong focus on sustainability and research, was recently honored to participate in a virtual presentation of its international education programmes in South Korea. This initiative was part of a broader event at the Liszt Intézet Hungarian Cultural Center in Seoul, designed to promote Hungarian higher education opportunities to prospective South Korean students. The event was held in strategic collaboration with the South Korean education technology (EdTech) startup, UpSee.
The virtual presentation was part of a larger information evening titled "Study in Hungary!". The primary goal of the event was to provide useful information about the Hungarian higher education system and the specific opportunities available at institutions like the University of Sopron.
Host: Liszt Intézet Hungarian Cultural Center in Seoul (part of the global network promoting Hungarian culture and education).
Target Audience: South Korean students and professionals interested in pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral (PhD) degrees in Hungary.
University's Role: A representative from the University of Sopron offered an online consultation session, allowing South Korean participants to ask direct questions about admissions, specific programs, and student life in Sopron.

The critical success factor for this outreach was the collaboration with the South Korean EdTech startup, UpSee. As a specialized local partner, UpSee played a role in effectively connecting the University of Sopron with the local student market.
UpSee is a dynamic South Korean education technology and consulting firm that specialises in international education brokerage. Its mission is to bridge the gap between foreign universities and prospective South Korean students by simplifying the study-abroad process.
By leveraging UpSee's platform and local network, the University of Sopron ensures its educational value, including its focus on high-quality programmes and its designation as a "Green University," is clearly and accurately communicated to the South Korean audience.
